- Account information. When you sign up, we collect your mobile phone number (used for one-time-password sign-in) and any display name you choose.
- Conversations. The messages you send to Sofi and the replies generated for you are stored so we can provide the chat experience and maintain continuity across conversations.
- Usage information. Details about how you interact with the Service, such as features used, session activity, and preferences (for example, the conversation tone you select).
- Device and technical data. Device model, operating system, app version, language, approximate region, IP address, and diagnostic or crash logs.
- Payment information. When you purchase a subscription, payments are processed by our payment partner. We do not store your full card or banking details on our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, personalize, and maintain the Service.
- To generate Sofi's responses and remember context from your conversations.
- To process subscriptions, trials, payments, and refunds.
- To keep the Service safe — including detecting fraud, abuse, and potential safety or crisis signals.

3. How Sofi's AI Works
Sofi is an artificial-intelligence companion. To generate replies, the content of your messages may be processed by trusted third-party AI model providers acting on our behalf. This processing is used to produce responses, maintain conversational context, and identify potential safety concerns. Sofi is not a real person and does not provide medical, legal, financial, or professional mental-health advice.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described here:
- Service providers. With vendors who help us run the Service — including cloud hosting and storage, AI model providers, SMS/OTP delivery, authentication, payment processing, and analytics — under agreements that limit their use of your data.
- Legal reasons. When required to comply with applicable law, legal process, or a lawful government request, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users, the public, or us.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
- With your consent. For any other purpose disclosed to you with your permission.
5. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Sofi is intended only for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us.

We are based in India and our service providers may process your information in other countries. Where we transfer data across borders, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in accordance with this Policy and applicable law.
