1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Sofi. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and legally able to enter into these Terms.

2. About the Service

Sofi is an artificial-intelligence companion app for casual conversation, entertainment, and emotional support. Sofi is an AI, not a real person. Responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or inappropriate. The Service is not a substitute for professional advice and does not provide medical, psychological, legal, or financial services.

If you are in crisis or experiencing a mental-health emergency, please contact your local emergency number or a qualified professional or helpline immediately. Do not rely on Sofi for emergency support.

3. Your Account

You sign in using your mobile number and a one-time password. You are responsible for keeping access to your phone and account secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

4. Subscriptions, Trials, and Billing

• Certain features require a paid subscription. Pricing, trial terms, and billing frequency are shown in the app before you purchase.
• If a trial is offered, it may convert into a paid subscription automatically at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before it ends.
• Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and at the then-current price until cancelled. You authorize us and our payment partner to charge your chosen payment method for each renewal.
• You can cancel at any time through the app or the relevant app store. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not retroactively refund the current period except as described in our Refund Policy.
• Payments are processed by our third-party payment partner. We do not store your full payment-card details.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose.
• Harass, threaten, or harm others, or attempt to harm yourself using the Service.
• Upload or transmit content that is illegal, infringing, or violates the rights of others.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
• Use the Service to generate content involving minors or any other prohibited content.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to users or the Service.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of the messages you submit. You grant us a limited license to process and store your content as needed to operate and improve the Service, including processing by AI providers as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the content you submit.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and content (excluding your own messages), is owned by ADVINIX MEDIA LABS PRIVATE LIMITED or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI responses will be accurate or suitable for any purpose.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ADVINIX MEDIA LABS PRIVATE LIMITED and its officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, goodwill, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
